Responsibilities
  • Perform machine bring-up on new robots, configuring and connecting each one and preparing it for deployment.
  • Use internal tools to install software, run setup steps, and verify that each machine works as expected.
  • Connect to robots remotely using SSH and other remote access tools.
  • Assist with hardware work, including connecting components, checking cables, and helping diagnose hardware issues.
  • Follow written procedures and checklists carefully and consistently.
  • Document setup results, issues found, and steps taken to fix them.
  • Shift between tasks as priorities change throughout the day.
Desired Qualifications
  • A diploma from a technical or vocational high school program, or an associate's degree in IT, electronics, or a related technical field.

The device recently made its New Jersey debut at Ulta in Clark. A second in-state site is coming in December to another Ulta, although 10Beauty did not disclose where. Considered the world's first full-service robotic manicure system, the technology combines computer vision, precision robotics and a proprietary single-use pod system to deliver a salon-quality experience that is consistent, convenient and hygienic. According to 10Beauty, the machine performs the full manicure workflow, including polish removal, nail shaping, cuticle care, color & top-coat application and drying. It relies on a single-use pod for each manicure. The pod contains the polish and other supplies needed for the service, helping keep the process sanitary while ensuring the machine uses fresh materials for every customer, the company said. 10Beauty noted its polish is vegan, non-toxic and designed to last longer than traditional polish. Customers can book an appointment online. The 60-minute service is priced at $25. Convenient beauty. Founded in 2019, 10Beauty uses robotics to make beauty services faster and more accessible. Its flagship device seeks to reimagine the traditional manicure experience where people already shop, work out, travel and spend time. PSA: Robot manicures have landed in Chicago. This Streeterville salon now offers manicures performed almost entirely by a robot. Thursday July 9 2026 The robots aren't just coming for your groceries and your customer service calls anymore. They're coming for your cuticles. Chicago is now home to one of the country's first fully robotic manicure experiences, thanks to Boston startup 10Beauty, which has installed its AI-powered nail machine inside 7AM Nail Care in Streeterville. If you've ever wished you could squeeze in a fresh manicure during your lunch break without a usual salon appointment, this might be your moment. The machine looks a bit like something out of a sci-fi movie, but the service is surprisingly familiar. First, your hand is mapped in 3D by seven computer vision cameras, then the robot gets to work removing old polish, pushing back cuticles, shaping nails, applying color, adding a top coat and drying everything, all with proprietary single-use tools and sealed polish pods designed for hygiene. The company says the manicure takes about 37 minutes from start to finish. Co-founders Alex Shashou and Justin Effron spent nearly six years - and more than $70 million in funding, according to American Salon - developing the technology. Early versions of the robot only worked on left hands and Shashou famously spent years flying between New York and Boston with one hand painted bright red so engineers could teach the machine to remove polish and repaint it.
