About the job

Requirements
  • You have 10+ years in general management, business operations or chief of staff roles, including time inside a company under 200 people.
  • You have built an operating system for a function you did not personally run, and the leader of that function thanked you for it.
  • You have owned or shaped a P&L and made a real trade-off with it.
  • You understand a B2B SaaS revenue engine well enough to be useful in a deal review: pipeline, win rate, forecast, gross revenue retention, net revenue retention, customer acquisition cost and payback.
  • You have hired at pace and can state real numbers: roles closed, time to hire, offer acceptance and first-year retention.
  • You write clearly; most of your impact here will happen in writing.
  • You are comfortable being the only person in your function, with no team to delegate to for the first year.
  • You can tell a founder their commitment slipped, in the room, without it becoming a fight.
  • You use artificial intelligence daily to research, draft, analyse and move faster.
Responsibilities
  • Build and document repeatable operating systems for Sales, Customer Success, hiring and the financial operating rhythm, while leaving functional leaders accountable for their results.
  • Develop Sales pitch, qualification criteria and a definition of a real opportunity that holds up in forecast calls.
  • Measure win rates to identify why deals are won, and build deal routing, no-show recovery and winback processes.
  • Create forecasting that supports headcount and spending plans.
  • Coach account executives using recorded calls.
  • Build Customer Success onboarding and implementation processes that get customers live and delivering value quickly.
  • Develop health scoring that flags churn risks early, and establish a regular cadence for quarterly business reviews, renewals and expansion.
  • Lead churn prevention and Customer Success Manager coaching.
  • Create hiring scorecards, an interview process and training for interviewers; run recruiting to close desired candidates at pace without lowering standards.
  • Develop employee onboarding and role-specific 30/60/90-day expectations, and establish performance management that starts conversations in the first month.
  • Manage budgets, headcount planning and profitability guardrails while supporting profitable growth.
  • Build dashboards that make company performance legible, and establish weekly operating cadence, monthly business reviews and quarterly planning.
  • Hold the company accountable for completing commitments.
  • Document processes and use artificial intelligence to increase operational leverage.
  • Learn the product, customers and business model; participate in sales calls, customer demos, onboarding sessions and engineering standups; map key processes and identify those dependent on individual knowledge; build a company dashboard; and identify what would break at twice the scale.
  • Within the first 90 days, launch the Sales operating system covering qualification, deal review, forecasting and win/loss analysis; launch the hiring system; run the quarterly planning cycle; establish and run weekly operating cadence; and remove recurring meetings from the CEO's calendar where appropriate.
  • Within the first 12 months, launch the Customer Success operating system, improve gross revenue retention measurably, produce a forecast adequate for headcount and spending plans, agree and track budgets/headcount/profitability guardrails, and enable leaders and playbooks to run core operations without the CEO in the operating loop.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a profitable or capital-efficient company rather than only a heavily funded company.
  • Experience as the second person in a founder-led business, making the founder replaceable in day-to-day operations.
  • Experience building an accurate forecast and explaining what made it accurate.
  • Experience improving a retention metric and distinguishing personal impact from market effects.
  • Strong numerical ability, including building financial models independently rather than relying on finance.

New integrations aug'26. Carla Böddeker The Medusa ecosystem kept growing this month, with 15 new community integrations joining the directory, including Printful, Richpanel, Packeta, MONEI, and more. Its Integrations Directory grew by 15 new community-contributed integrations this month, spanning payments, fulfillment, print-on-demand, customer support, and more. Printful. Printful brings print-on-demand fulfillment to your Medusa store, syncing Printful products into your catalog and automatically creating Printful orders when payment is captured. It also registers as a fulfillment provider, so Printful shipping options are available directly in the admin, ideal for merchants selling custom or made-to-order goods. Richpanel. Richpanel connects your store to the Richpanel customer support platform, syncing order, customer, fulfillment, return, and payment events. Your support team gets full order context alongside every conversation, no switching tools to see what a customer bought, when it shipped, or whether it was refunded. Brand Management. Brand Management adds full brand management to your Medusa store, letting you create and manage brands and assign products to them. It ships with a REST API and an admin dashboard UI, a useful addition for multi-brand catalogs that need brands as a first-class part of the product model. More new integrations. An interview with Axel Guiral from Consio.Ai.

An interview with Axel Guiral from Consio.Ai. Below is its recent interview with Axel Guiral from Consio.Ai: Q: Could you provide its readers with a brief introduction to your company? A: Consio is the AI phone platform built for Shopify brands. Superbcrew help merchants manage inbound and outbound phone conversations from one place, combining AI Voice Agents, human agents, SMS follow-ups, Shopify context, call recordings, transcripts, and revenue attribution. For support teams, Consio's AI Voice Agent handles the calls agents should not have to repeat all day: order status, returns, product questions, after-hours support, FAQs, and product guidance. For sales teams, trained Consio agents run outbound campaigns to reach high-intent shoppers like abandoned carts, checkout starters, VIP customers, failed payments, open draft orders... The goal is simple: help ecommerce teams answer more customers, recover more high-intent revenue, and know exactly which conversations drive sales. Q: What makes you the best choice? How are you unique? A: Consio focuses on one of the highest-intent but most underused channels: the phone. Its AI Voice Agent can answer inbound calls 24/7, handle commerce support questions, send SMS links during calls, and escalate complex or high-value conversations to the right human agent. On the outbound side, brands can run phone campaigns for abandoned carts, VIP customers, failed payments, replenishment reminders, and other high-intent segments. Everything is connected to Shopify and Klaviyo context, so every call is personalized and measurable. Q: Who is your ideal client and why? A: Its ideal clients are Shopify brands that receive valuable customer calls or have high-intent shoppers who do not always convert through email and SMS alone. This is especially relevant for brands with higher AOV products, considered purchases, subscription models, VIP customers, or strong abandoned checkout volume. For these brands, one timely phone conversation can remove hesitation faster than another automated email. Q: What can Superbcrew expect from you in the next 6 months? What are your plans? A: Over the next 6 months, Superbcrew is focused on expanding its AI Voice Agent capabilities, making inbound automation more powerful, improving sales-focused AI workflows, and deepening revenue attribution across calls, voicemails, SMS, and campaigns. Superbcrew is also continuing to invest in integrations with the tools ecommerce teams already use, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, Zendesk, Kustomer, and Richpanel. Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about? A: People often think of phone support as a cost center. Consio shows that phone can become a measurable revenue channel. For example, Houndsy tested Consio phone outreach with a holdout group and saw a 23% incremental lift, with $55,879 in attributed revenue generated in May across 3,855 completed calls. That is the kind of impact Superbcrew want more ecommerce brands to unlock.
