About the job

Requirements
  • Previous hotel engineering or maintenance experience is required.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, safely use hand and power tools, and respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependability, ability to prioritize multiple work orders, accurate documentation, and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and life-safety procedures.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the hotel’s physical facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests.
  • Complete work orders through the hotel’s maintenance system.
  • Assist with inspections, repairs, and routine property walks.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer and hotel leadership to maintain brand standards, life-safety requirements, and overall property appearance.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to guests and associates.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hotel-specific maintenance experience.
  • Experience working in historic buildings.
  • Luxury hotel engineering experience.
