About the job

Requirements
  • The candidate must have 10–20 years of experience in principal trading, flow trading, market making, or running a multi-asset trading book at a sell-side firm, broker-dealer, prime broker, or proprietary trading house, with documented P&L through different market regimes.
  • The candidate must have a strong multi-asset risk-management background across delta, gamma, vega, correlation, liquidity, and counterparty risk.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the MiFID II Systematic Internaliser regime, best-execution obligations, and conflict-of-interest management in a regulated broker-dealer environment is essential.
  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must be comfortable with full accountability for a P&L.
Responsibilities
  • Build, run, and develop EXANTE’s principal trading book across asset classes, providing liquidity against client flow, managing resulting inventory, hedging residual exposure, and generating P&L within the firm’s regulatory, best-execution, and conflict-of-interest framework, with full P&L responsibility for the book.
  • Provide liquidity against client flow, internalise and aggregate exposures where commercially attractive, manage inventory, and hedge residual market risk.
  • Develop and execute market-making, flow-trading, relative-value, and other legitimate trading strategies within Board-approved risk limits.
  • Identify, negotiate, and onboard the exchanges, prime brokers, and OTC counterparties needed for hedging and inventory management.
  • Partner with the Risk function to design, implement, and operate the book’s risk limits, monitoring, and escalation framework.
  • Coordinate securities inventory, financing, and revenue with the existing Stock Lending team while avoiding disruption to that revenue line.
  • Work with the Options Trading and Fixed Income & Structured Products desks to ensure complementary principal books and shared risk visibility.
  • Cooperate with Operations, Treasury, and Technology on workflow, financing, settlement, and platform tooling.
  • Manage conflicts of interest, best-execution arrangements, and product-governance compliance across relevant booking entities, including under MiFID II, FCA, SFC, and equivalent regimes.
  • Determine team size, composition, and sequencing as the book grows, consistent with the approved business plan.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with securities financing and stock lending operations is a strong plus.

Exante targets SMAs with portfolio management infrastructure.

Exante targets SMAs with portfolio management infrastructure. May 18, 2026 Prime broker Exante has launched a portfolio management system designed to help firms scale and meet demand for separately managed accounts. Allocator has been developed in light of the increased number of distinct client portfolios that managers are expected to handle, Exante says. Richard Forss, chief technology officer, commented, "Demand for separately managed accounts increased over the past year for more than 60% of both managers and allocators, with most expecting further growth over the next 12 to 18 months. Allocator brings the operational infrastructure and execution discipline to any asset manager, regardless of size." Client portfolios often have fragmented or manual workflows, Exante says, which increase the risk of errors and mismatches when managers are handling several client accounts at once. Allocator allows managers to create a master portfolio framework and apply strategy updates, allocation changes and rebalancing actions across multiple accounts, which the company believes will improve efficiency and reduce risk. Users will be able to deploy investment strategies across up to 20 accounts, and rebalance across the linked accounts, simultaneously. Portfolios can be constructed of up to 20 assets and weighted by percentage-based targets or fixed allocations. (C) Markets Media Europe 2025

EXANTE releases economic insight report at CIBA-KPMG Conference 'Winners and Losers in a Changing World'

EXANTE releases economic insight report at CIBA-KPMG Conference 'winners and Losers in a Changing World' Press release date 10-23-2025. The world isn't deglobalising, it's rewiring. Investors who stay agile and diversified will adapt best."" LIMASSOL, CYPRUS, October 23, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ - Global prime broker EXANTE today unveiled its latest Economic Insight Report, "Winners and Losers in a Changing World: Trade, Currencies and Capital Markets", at the EXANTE-CIBA-KPMG Conference in Limassol. Authored by Dr. Renée Friedman, Global Head of Research at EXANTE, the report explores how shifting trade patterns, fiscal imbalances and evolving capital markets are reshaping the global investment landscape in 2025. Despite tariffs, slowing growth, and mounting debt, Dr. Friedman finds markets and earnings have shown "surprising resilience", though rising fiscal stress now poses the greater risk to stability. "This year has tested investors' nerves," said Dr. Friedman. "Our new report highlights that while trade and growth have held up better than expected, mounting debt and fiscal burdens are emerging as the real risks to stability. The world isn't deglobalising, it's rewiring. Investors who stay agile and diversified will adapt best." Hosted with the Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) and KPMG, the conference brings together policymakers, investors and business leaders to discuss how geopolitics, technology and fiscal policy are reshaping global markets. In parallel with the report launch, on the eve of its 15-year anniversary, EXANTE reaffirmed its commitment to Cyprus, announcing the planting of 500 trees through YouReforest Cyprus to help restore forest areas damaged by recent wildfires. "Cyprus has been at the heart of EXANTE's story from the very beginning," said Kirill Korneychuk, EXANTE's Executive Director and Vice-President of CIBA. "It's a strategic base for our business and a home to many of our people and clients. Supporting reforestation after the devastating wildfires is our way of giving back to the island that supports so much of our success." EXANTE's "Winners and Losers in a Changing World" offers a forward-looking perspective for institutional and professional investors navigating volatility, inflation and shifting trade patterns in 2025 and beyond.
