What believers are saying

  • Intricate updated its meter proving page on September 11, 2026, signaling active productization.
  • The company now advertises AER and BCER-approved prover configurations across Western Canada.
  • Its case study claims 25% lower proving cost and $30,000 annual savings.

What critics are saying

  • Intricate depends on AER Directive 017 and BCER rules; a 2027 rewrite can shrink demand.
  • Large operators can internalize meter proving and software, cutting Intricate's outsourced visits quickly.
  • If oil producers delay drilling in Western Canada, Intricate's service revenue falls and utilization weakens.

What makes Intricate Group unique

  • Intricate bundles consulting, field services, and software for Alberta, Saskatchewan, and BC operators.
  • Its regulator-approved inline and bench provers reduce downtime while delivering audit-ready records.
  • MMMS, Schematics, and GOR+ centralize measurement evidence into one workflow.
