Responsibilities
  • Increase order and scan volume across all modalities from referring providers in the assigned geographic territory to exceed budgeted same-store growth, scan volume, and revenue commitments.
  • Analyze physician referral patterns to develop customer-level marketing plans, identify opportunities to increase scan volume with existing referrers, and develop new referral channels.
  • Manage the assigned expense budget.
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic referrers to maintain or increase order and scan volume, identify customer drivers, meet customer needs, and communicate service deficiencies to the Operations Team.
  • Prospect and target new referrers based on market trends and conditions, use consultative selling skills to engage new referrers, and uncover competitive takeaways based on unmet needs.
  • Analyze marketed account referral patterns to strategically plan field time and action plans, monitor variances and trends in the existing referral base, and work with operations and management to determine causes for referral-pattern changes.
  • Work with territory Physician Sales and Operations leadership to establish customer and territory plans delivering budgeted same-store growth, scan volume, target, and revenue commitments.
  • Identify risks to the referral base and implement targeted community outreach programs, including territory-level educational campaigns, health fairs, and other events promoting consumer awareness.
  • Participate in operational meetings in the assigned territory, provide status updates, and identify areas for Physician Sales to engage strategically with the larger team.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with key strategic accounts when applicable.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of physician sales and marketing experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Prior imaging or oncology experience.

Akumin and CGS Premier launch joint venture to scale relocatable imaging and oncology clinics

Akumin, a provider of diagnostic imaging and oncology solutions, has partnered with Wisconsin-based manufacturer CGS Premier to form Mobile Healthcare Innovations (MHI), a joint venture focused on producing Akumin AXIS relocatable clinics. The partners have opened an 85,400-square-foot facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin, designed for high-volume production. Akumin AXIS units are self-contained imaging and oncology clinics with pre-installed MRI, PET or LINAC technology. The venture aims to address growing demand for imaging and oncology services across the United States. Akumin operates one of the nation's largest networks of fixed-site radiology centres and mobile solutions, partnering with over 800 hospitals and physician groups. The investment supports local job creation whilst positioning Akumin for continued expansion.

Akumin secures $154M investment and restructures debt to extend repayment timeline to 2031

Akumin Inc. has secured $154 million in new capital from Stonepeak, an alternative investment firm, to support long-term growth of its imaging and radiation oncology services. The company is also restructuring its debt with noteholders representing over 95% of its outstanding senior secured notes. Under the agreement, Akumin's existing debt will be exchanged for new senior secured notes due in 2031, carrying a 9.75% interest rate that can drop to 8.75% if certain credit targets are met. The company's revolving credit facility, with roughly $119 million outstanding, will convert into preferred equity or move to a lower-priority position. The restructuring follows Akumin's recent launch of new offerings at the Radiological Society of North America meeting, including its Axis Drop Trailer and relocatable MRI suites.
