Requirements
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Canadian citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must currently reside in Canada.
  • Candidates must have access to their own desktop or laptop computer.
  • Candidates must not intend to apply to or become a student in a program using Casper during the next 2–3 years.
  • Candidates must communicate effectively and proactively in writing to raise issues and clearly express Casper scoring choices.
  • Candidates must demonstrate communication, self-awareness, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Candidates must pass a shortened Casper exam and a reading-comprehension test during the selection process.
  • Selected candidates must complete the online evaluator training within five business days.
  • Candidates must pass a calibration assessment and demonstrate consistent alignment with benchmark evaluations before certification.
Responsibilities
  • Complete virtual, scientifically based training to learn how to evaluate applicants’ responses and mitigate implicit bias.
  • Complete ongoing training and mandatory paid annual recertification.
  • Read and review applicants’ typed and video responses, compare them with the applicant pool, and assign scores according to scoring guidelines.
  • Provide feedback to help improve and optimize the Casper exam, platforms, and content.
  • Participate regularly in evaluation sessions and maintain professional conduct.
  • Respond promptly to surveys and feedback using a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Approach responses with empathy and impartiality, recognize personal biases, and actively work to mitigate them to produce objective and fair evaluations.
  • Complete knowledge assessments, activities, and practical exercises covering evaluation criteria, quality assurance, and implicit bias.
  • Evaluate Casper exam responses after becoming certified.
