Site Reliability Engineer / High-Middle DevOps Engineer
About the job
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, ideally Google Kubernetes Engine, and basic cluster operations.
- Working experience with Terraform and Helm in pull-request-based workflows.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services used in SaaS operations, such as Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Memorystore.
- Monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting skills, preferably with Datadog.
- A scripting and automation mindset to reduce manual work and prevent repetitive incidents.
- Understanding of how changes affect availability and latency, and how to operate under service-level agreement constraints.
- Operate and improve production systems on Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, and related managed services.
- Contribute to platform reliability, scalability, and operational improvements alongside Senior and Principal engineers.
- Implement infrastructure changes using Terraform and maintain Kubernetes configurations, Helm charts, and deployment tooling.
- Improve continuous integration and continuous delivery automation and deployment reliability.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability in Datadog.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and postmortem activities.
- Support security tooling, vulnerability remediation, and secure platform practices.
- Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities without compromising reliability.
- Cloudflare basics, including web application firewall, domain name system, and edge concepts; Workers or content delivery network experience is a plus.
- Experience writing and maintaining runbooks and participating in postmortems.
- Exposure to SOC 2 or PCI-DSS requirements, or willingness to learn.
- Experience in high-load consumer products or game development.
