  • Current athletic training license or eligibility for licensure in the state of the position.
  • Current certification by, and good standing with, the Board of Certification.
  • Competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in athletic training.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface successfully with various individuals.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Organizational and listening skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to local schools, community events, and organized sports in accordance with applicable state laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide athletic training services in accordance with established contracts.
  • Perform possible clinical responsibilities based on the location.
  • Collaborate closely with all members of the sports medicine team.
  • Collaborate closely with supervising and team physicians.
  • Provide sports medicine consultations to coaches, athletes, parents, and others.
  • Conduct athletic training and sports medicine workshops as requested.
  • Maintain daily treatment records and patient documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with members of the sports medicine team, patients, family members, and coaches.
