Punjabi Interpreter

POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Punjabi Interpreter to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will provide high-quality interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between Punjabi-speaking individuals and English speakers in various contexts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide accurate interpretation services during meetings, medical appointments, and other engagements involving Punjabi and English speakers.
• Ensure clarity in communication by adhering to best practices and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy in all interactions.
• Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and understanding specific client needs.
• Continuously enhance your language skills and cultural knowledge to better serve clients across different domains.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both English and Punjabi, with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Excellent listening and analytical skills to ensure precise interpretation.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances that facilitate effective communication.
• Prior experience in interpretation, especially in medical, educational, or legal settings, is preferred.
