Requirements
At least 2–3 years of proven bartending experience is required, preferably in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, upscale bar, resort, or high-end hospitality environment.
Good knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages is required.
Knowledge of cocktail preparation, garnishing, presentation techniques, and beverage service standards is required.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
Basic understanding of beverage stock, product handling, storage, and waste control is required.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining service and quality standards.
The candidate must be comfortable with frequent walking and navigating stairs between the bar, service areas, and different levels of the property.
A strong understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service standards is required.
Responsibilities
Provide professional, warm, and attentive bar service to guests while ensuring consistently high-quality experiences.
Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, soft drinks, coffees, and other beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
Maintain consistency in the taste, quality, presentation, and portioning of beverages.
Maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, cocktails, spirits, wines, ingredients, and available products.
Engage professionally and warmly with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond to individual preferences and requests.
Provide informed beverage recommendations and support suggestive selling to enhance guest experiences and beverage sales.
Prepare orders accurately and serve them in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain the bar, workstations, glassware, equipment, and service areas to high standards throughout each shift.
Assist with opening, service, and closing procedures according to company standards.
Assist with stock replenishment, inventory counts, and proper storage of beverages and bar supplies.
Support beverage cost control by minimizing waste and using products, equipment, and supplies responsibly.
Communicate with the Head Bartender, Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Head Waiter, Kitchen, and wider food and beverage team to ensure smooth service.
Support the Head Bartender and wider bar team during busy service periods and assist colleagues as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Handle guest feedback and service requests professionally, empathetically, and discreetly, involving the Head Bartender or management when appropriate.
Comply with responsible alcohol service, health, safety, hygiene, and company policies.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture that reflects the values and standards of the property and group.
Participate in training and development activities and continuously develop knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, service techniques, and current beverage trends.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in a luxury hospitality or high-volume environment is an advantage.
Additional languages are considered an asset.
