Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or strategic finance, including mid- to high-level leadership experience. Demonstrates executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the gaming industry (ideal but not necessary). Alternatively, a strong passion for gaming and a deep understanding of our products.
  • Startup experience: Proven ability to thrive in a startup-like environment, with a proactive mindset, strong initiative, and a track record of taking ownership of analytics processes and driving results.
  • Healthy tenure: Demonstrated stability and commitment in previous roles, with a track record of staying in positions for 2 or more years. Internal promotions within organizations are highly valued, indicating strong career progression and contributions to company success.
  • Las Vegas local or willingness to relocate: Preference for candidates who are currently located in Las Vegas or willing to relocate to Vegas prior to start-date.
Responsibilities
  • Own the company’s financial model and translate Skillz’s strategies into numbers. Focus on revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to our business and product leaders. Prepare financial models to maximize ROI.
  • Partner closely with senior executives and key stakeholders across the business. Develop executive, Board of Directors, and investor presentation materials with a clear narrative.
  • Establish, track, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and unit economics.
  • Prepare multi-year and long-range strategic planning models.
  • Analyze and identify macro trends and drivers of growth, scalability, and sustainability across studio operations and subscription businesses.
