Requirements
  • At least 1 year of SDR or BDR experience in business-to-business software as a service, ideally selling into mid-market or enterprise accounts.
  • A track record of hitting outbound quota through meetings booked, qualified opportunities created, and pipeline sourced.
  • Fluency in cold calling, including handling objections.
  • A sales or business degree and a clear interest in building a career in software-as-a-service sales.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to research an account, identify a hook, and write a personalized email that earns a reply.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach or Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and intent platforms such as Demandbase or 6sense.
  • Ability to work four days per week in the Plano, Texas office.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Responsibilities
  • Run multichannel outbound sequences against a named account list of approximately 300 strategic accounts assigned to the account executive, including cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach, and video.
  • Activate Demandbase intent signals by working accounts showing increased activity in the named account list and automatically promoting high-intent accounts to Tier 1 outreach.
  • Execute a 21-day, 14-touch cadence consisting of three cold calls, a LinkedIn connection, four personalized emails, one Loom video, and account-executive-copied warm introductions.
  • Achieve a steady-state target of three to four qualified opportunities per month, ramping from one to three opportunities per month during the first six months.
  • Make more than 60 outbound dials per day and send more than 40 personalized emails, prioritizing quality of personalization over volume.
  • Build complete buying-center maps for every Tier 1 account, including organizational charts, economic buyers, technical buyers, coaches, and likely blockers.
  • Capture trigger events such as leadership changes, funding rounds, request-for-proposal releases, mergers and acquisitions activity, and expansion announcements, then translate them into tailored outreach within 24 hours.
  • Brief the account executive daily in a 15-minute sync covering intent spikes, account activity, and the prioritized outreach list.
  • Provide deal strategy and account intelligence to the account executive before the first meeting.
  • For the SLED pod, monitor public-sector request-for-proposal portals, track procurement timelines, build relationships with procurement officers, and map buying committees, budget cycles, and public-sector compliance requirements.
  • For the Commercial Enterprise pod, conduct outbound prospecting into mid-market and enterprise commercial accounts, focus on speed to engage and multithreading, and identify the economic buyer before the first account-executive meeting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized account, contact, and activity records in Salesforce.
  • Refine messaging, sequences, and the prospecting approach based on data and account-executive feedback.
  • Travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications
  • For SLED pod candidates, SDR or BDR experience at a public-sector software-as-a-service vendor such as Carahsoft, Granicus, Tyler Technologies, Motorola Solutions, Salesforce Government Cloud, or Workiva, or a similar vendor; Reserve Officers' Training Corps or military background is a strong signal.
  • For Commercial Enterprise pod candidates, SDR or BDR experience at UKG, Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, Dayforce, Rippling, Workday, or another human capital management, workforce management, or payroll platform.
  • Hands-on exposure to Miller Heiman or Target Account Selling, Challenger, or MEDDPICC.
  • Experience selling into human resources, finance, operations, or information technology buying centers.

What believers are saying

  • TCP shipped Humanity backfill in 2026, cutting manager labor during last-minute callouts.
  • The July 2026 roundup added Fair Workweek, extra-duty management, and K-12 overtime depth.
  • San Angelo expansion and 2026 leadership hires signal demand and continued operating investment.

What critics are saying

  • May 2026 outages hit TimeClock Plus three times, undermining payroll-trust and renewals.
  • Workday, ADP, and UKG bundle scheduling into broader HCM suites, pressuring TCP margins.
  • If 2026 AI backfill disappoints, TCP becomes a feature supplier, not a platform winner.

What makes TCP Software unique

  • TCP spans TimeClock Plus, Humanity Schedule, Aladtec, and ScheduleAnywhere under one stack.
  • Its 2026 multi-instance SSO links scheduling, timekeeping, and mobile workflows across products.
