Requirements
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements is required.
  • A current DMV printout is required as part of the application process.
  • The driving record must meet minimum risk management requirements.
  • At least one year of driving experience is required.
  • Demonstrate customer service through courteous and safe conduct on customer, public, and company property.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in vehicle operation.
  • Repeatedly pull, twist, bend, and lift 35 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Climb in and out of the tractor using proper three points of contact.
  • Sit for up to 11 hours per day and operate the vehicle in all weather conditions.
  • Be regularly able to talk and hear; the active position involves standing, walking, bending, and sitting throughout the day.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance at the office or site location.
  • Travel locally as required.
Responsibilities
  • Organize, perform, and complete the safe and efficient delivery of commercial bulk and bagged feeds.
  • Operate the truck safely and courteously, prioritizing safety in every delivery task.
  • Maintain the truck, including conducting pre-trip checks and following required Department of Transportation and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Keep the truck clean, including regularly washing and cleaning the exterior and interior.
  • Load and reload, and assist other drivers with loading as required.
  • Inspect hatches, augers, and blowers to confirm they are operational and serviceable.
  • Ensure feed is unloaded to the proper location or bin.
  • Accurately complete scale tickets, delivery papers, driver logs, and associated documentation.
