Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial low-voltage or access control experience.
  • Experience installing commercial access control systems.
  • Experience with HID card readers and door hardware.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Experience terminating low-voltage cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in mechanical or electrical rooms.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Install and replace access control hardware and controllers.
  • Install and terminate Software House iSTAR Ultra G2 GCM, ACM, and I8 input boards.
  • Install HID Signo 40 and Signo 20 card readers.
  • Install Altronix power supplies, voltage regulators, and backup batteries.
  • Reuse and extend existing low-voltage cabling as needed.
  • Install and terminate door contacts, request-to-exit devices, locks, and other access control peripherals.
  • Label, test, and troubleshoot access control panels and field devices.
  • Perform functional testing including badge reads, door position switches, request-to-exit devices, door forced alarms, and door held-open alarms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all site safety requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Software House C•CURE/iSTAR Ultra G2 systems.
  • Experience with Altronix power supplies.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Lift certification.
  • Experience working in industrial facilities, municipal projects, or data centers.
