Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Nature of Work

Marking of individual assignments. Lab demonstration and proctoring exams.

Minimum qualifications

Strong understanding of core finance theory concepts

Demonstrated ability to solve finance problems accurately and efficiently

Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback

Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Proficiency in Excel considered an asset

Ability to interpret financial results and explain underlying concepts clearly

Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0;

Minimum grade of A in ADM2352 or its equivalent.

Experience with online course delivery considered an asset

Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams

Comments

Preference will be given to higher grades;

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs

Candidates on short list will be interviewed.

Please note that the posted hours could be increased by 10% to 30% due to registration.

Please note, you will be required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam.

Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks, which the professor may adjust over the course of the semester.

Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.
