- Understanding of child development, group management, group work, programming, and communications.
- Ability to complete mandatory training.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification is required; training is available upon hire.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks, is required.
- Plan, organize, lead, and supervise physical activity and academic curriculum for children in grades K–5.
- Plan and lead age- and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a classroom or group setting while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Participate in planning and implementing special events such as family nights and program activities.
- Uphold professional boundaries, complete mandatory child-protection training, and report concerns to help prevent child abuse.
