Requirements
  • A valid New York State registered nurse license is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience are required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer service principles is required.
  • Clinical expertise within the relevant field or specialty is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assume first-line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on an assigned unit.
  • Facilitate efficient and cost-effective daily unit operations related to patient throughput, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in implementing established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Care Director to establish short- and long-term unit goals and ensure alignment with the hospital's overall strategic goals.
  • Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.
  • A Master's in Nursing.
  • Previous acute care experience.
