Requirements
  • The applicant must be licensed as a land surveyor in the United States.
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science or higher degree in surveying engineering technology or a closely related discipline by the date of hire.
  • The applicant must have excellent communication skills.
  • The applicant must have performed effectively in remote and in-person collaborative team environments.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach online and in-person courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels of the curriculum.
  • Use teaching styles that reach a wide variety of remote students.
  • Clearly communicate to students the connections between principles and professional practice.
  • Engage in scholarship, professional service and/or consulting.
  • Provide service to the discipline and community and participate in professional society activities.
  • Contribute to ETAC/ABET accreditation efforts.
  • Participate in recruitment, student advising, and University committees.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in a surveying engineering technology-related discipline.
  • Prior successful teaching experience in surveying or engineering practices.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
