Transport Driver
About the job
- A Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements is required.
- A Department of Transportation medical card is required.
- At least one year of experience is required.
- This is a regional driver position involving 1–3 overnights per week, with the driver home every weekend.
- Good customer service skills are required.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- The ability to lift or move up to 65 pounds is required.
- Transport deliveries safely and responsibly in accordance with company procedures and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Follow the daily delivery schedule or coordinate the most efficient deliveries using knowledge of customer schedules, peak delivery times, and alternate routes.
- Safely load and unload deliveries.
- Obtain and maintain proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation, including cash-on-delivery documents, and submit it in a timely manner.
- Provide good customer service and maintain a professional manner and appearance.
- Ensure received orders and documentation are accurate.
- Relay customer messages and communications to appropriate management.
- Maintain a valid commercial driver's license, endorsements, and Department of Transportation physical card.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
