Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain commercial assumptions, models, and frameworks used to evaluate and track business initiatives.
  • Monitor initiative performance and identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Analyse outcomes and prepare retrospective reviews, highlighting insights and potential follow-up actions.
  • Develop business cases, including assumptions, financial sizing, and performance measurement.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and tracking of commercial initiatives across product, marketing, and growth activities.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial insight frameworks, reporting tools, and knowledge-sharing processes.
  • Maintain initiative roadmaps, trackers, and reporting materials to support prioritisation and decision-making.
  • Prepare stakeholder updates, presentations, and business review materials that communicate performance and recommendations clearly.
  • Consolidate information from Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to support planning and portfolio reviews.

Clifford Chance advises on $480M multi-jurisdictional financing for Peruvian consumer goods group Alicorp

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised a syndicate of lenders on US$480 million in senior unsecured facilities for Alicorp, a Peruvian consumer goods company. The financing includes a five-year US$250 million term loan facility and a three-year US$230 million revolving credit facility. The term loan is divided into tranches for Alicorp's operations in Colombia (up to US$110 million), Spain (US$35 million), and Ecuador (US$90 million). The revolving facility is for Alicorp's Peruvian entity and includes two one-year extension options. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase Bank, and Banco Santander served as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners. The transaction spans four jurisdictions and two currencies, with proceeds earmarked for general corporate purposes and liquidity management.

Red Robin completes $115M refinancing after selling 108 restaurants for $89.4M

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers completed refinancing of its secured credit facility on 2 October 2026. The new $115 million facility comprises a $25 million revolving line of credit and a $90 million term loan, maturing in October 2031. The refinancing follows Red Robin's sale of 108 company-owned restaurants to three franchisees for approximately $89.4 million in gross proceeds. An additional eight restaurants are expected to be sold by year-end for $6.6 million, bringing total proceeds to approximately $96 million from 116 restaurants. The move is part of Red Robin's First Choice Plan to strengthen its balance sheet. Chief executive Dave Pace said the new facility provides "a stronger financial foundation" and "greater financial flexibility" to invest in restaurants and support franchise partners. JPMorgan Chase Bank served as administrative agent and collateral agent for the facility.

The company's shares closed yesterday at $332.38. JPMorgan Chase has an analyst consensus of Moderate Buy, with a price target consensus of $381.33, which is a 14.73% upside from current levels. In a report released on September 28, HSBC also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $377.00 price target. Based on JPMorgan Chase's latest earnings release for the quarter ending June 30, the company reported a quarterly revenue of $82.46 billion and a net profit of $21.16 billion. In comparison, last year the company earned a revenue of $69.91 billion and had a net profit of $14.99 billion Based on the recent corporate insider activity of 98 insiders, corporate insider sentiment is negative on the stock. This means that over the past quarter there has been an increase of insiders selling their shares of JPM in relation to earlier this year. Northeastern opens AI makerspace in partnership with Microsoft. October 1, 2026 Microsoft representatives speak at the AI makerspace Sept. 25. The space intends to assist students on how to effectively use artificial intelligence. Northeastern's artificial intelligence, or AI, makerspace opened Sept. 28 on the first floor of Snell Library, where makerspace staff will lead workshops and guide students and faculty in using the technology. Created in partnership with Microsoft, the AI makerspace aims to help students, faculty and staff learn how to use AI efficiently, according to its webpage. Microsoft has struck similar partnerships with other universities, including the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Kentucky. Other universities, including Carnegie Mellon University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, have launched AI makerspaces in collaboration with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and NVIDIA, respectively. Microsoft representatives and Northeastern staff held the grand opening on Sept. 24 and 25, where they held events throughout the day and walked around talking to students. "If you only have a broad understanding of AI, it's a place where you can learn more," said Michelle Pruitt, a Microsoft representative. The event also featured an artwork gallery which invited students to submit work that "engages the relationship between people and technology," according to a Sept. 9 email sent to students in the College of Arts, Media and Design. "We're in a world where AI is prevalent," said Sarah Callen, a makerspace staff member and senior director of learning and design enablement for Northeastern's Experiential Digital Global Education team. "Having a place to be able to get those skills and be competitive in the marketplace [is] going to be really important for students." Many students attending the grand opening expressed interest in the usage of AI, but also supported regulating it. Minh Huynh, a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in game science and design, said that AI can be used productively for learning and business, but added that people using AI "need to be skeptical... because you don't want to lose your own thinking." According to an email sent out by the Office of the Chancellor Sept. 9, the makerspace "keeps people, connection, and original thinking at the heart of AI." "[AI] should be used to the fullest potential in education," said Namita Anand Deshpande, a second-year graduate student majoring in sustainable building systems. "But I feel like the originality should be that of the human." As the technology has evolved and seeped into higher education, Northeastern has positioned itself as a leader in the space of AI. This year, the university launched an AI major to replace its data science major, as well as 24 AI combined major offerings. This decision responded to "increased demand from students, parents, and employers for AI skills," according to a university webpage about the change. In 2025, Northeastern launched a partnership with Anthropic's Claude, granting all students, faculty and staff access to the platform.
