Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of front desk or customer service experience, preferably with OPERA systems.
  • A strong background in customer service experience.
  • Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of resolving guest problems and expediting solutions.
  • Understanding of daily hotel operations and systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Complex mathematics skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers, including defusing anger, collecting accurate information, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, use time efficiently, and multitask.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
  • Follow safety and emergency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete reservations, check-ins, check-outs, upgrades, room moves, billing, cash and credit card transactions, switchboard operations, guest-request deliveries, safe-deposit-box deliveries, and guest follow-up.
  • Greet customers promptly, understand their requests, provide appropriate assistance, and communicate accurate information about outlets, programs, and events.
  • Complete guest registration using the computer system, confirm guest and room information, select rooms based on guest needs, code electronic keys, administer hotel marketing programs, and provide welcome materials.
  • Meet Crystal Creek Hospitality, brand, and service standards.
  • Resolve guest complaints within guidelines and follow the L.E.A.R.N. model.
  • Answer telephone and email inquiries, record and communicate messages, and retrieve mail, packages, facsimiles, and other requested items.
  • Monitor guest accounts and room inventory.
  • Ensure rooms and services are accurately reflected on guest statements and assist with checkout payments and charges.
  • Use the OPERA property management system and other assigned software, including MGS and GXP.
  • Complete assigned checklists and shift reports accurately.
  • Process lost-and-found items, including database entry, guest outreach, and shipping.
  • Maintain professional appearance, body language, posture, dress-code, and uniform standards.
  • Maintain the house bank and operate the cash register accurately.
  • Provide guests with recommendations about local recreation, services, dining, cultural activities, and attractions.
  • Follow Front Desk Team best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized workstation and lobby.
  • Complete miscellaneous assigned tasks and assist other departments when needed.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, climbing or balancing, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
