Vulnerability Management Specialist
About the job
- An active Secret clearance is required.
- Security+ certification at IAT II is required.
- Three to five years of related experience are required.
- Hands-on experience with ACAS vulnerability scanning and reporting using Tenable Security Center or Tenable Manager is required.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, the Risk Management Framework, Security Technical Implementation Guides, and network environments is required.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Work closely with DoD leadership to support Risk Management Framework accreditation activities.
- Use eMASS to manage Risk Management Framework artifacts, control status, and Authority to Operate packages.
- Introduce tools and configuration standards to meet Information Assurance accreditation requirements for auditability, reporting, monitoring, and access-control implementation and management.
- Plan, configure, and execute ACAS scans across enterprise systems, applications, and enclaves.
- Use Tenable Security Center and Tenable Manager to operate and maintain the vulnerability management process.
- Analyze scan results, validate vulnerabilities, and work with system owners to remediate findings.
- Maintain and update vulnerability scan schedules, baselines, and documentation in accordance with DoD guidance.
- Monitor system logs and security events to detect anomalies, potential intrusions, and insider threats.
- Provide technical expertise in vulnerability management, reporting, and compliance with STIGs, IAVMs, and CCRI readiness requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, POA&Ms, and knowledge-base documentation for ACAS and other operations.
- Collaborate with Information System Security Managers, administrators, and DoD leadership to improve cyber defense posture.
