Senior Estimator - Construction
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required.
- 10–12+ years of construction estimating experience is required.
- Experience leading estimates and managing the full bid process is required.
- Experience with self-perform work is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project, is required.
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
- Lead the estimating process from initial review through final bid submission.
- Perform and review detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Prepare, organize, and manage bid packages.
- Solicit, level, and manage subcontractor and vendor bids.
- Lead and manage requests for information during the bidding phase.
- Develop bid strategies and analyze project costs to ensure competitiveness.
- Support scheduling and preconstruction planning efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Review project financials, including cost tracking and profit-and-loss considerations.
- Mentor and support junior estimators and team members.
- Deliver accurate, thorough, and high-quality bid analyses.
