Senior Estimator

Path Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Arlington Heights, IL. We are a rapidly growing general contractor headquartered in Arlington Heights, with additional offices in Charlotte, NC; Knoxville, TN; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; and Phoenix, AZ. Our projects span across the country.

This role is suited for someone with 10+ years of construction estimating experience, including leadership and oversight of the bid process. The position plays a key role in leading estimates, mentoring team members, and ensuring accurate, competitive, and high-quality bids.

We are seeking individuals with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. This role requires someone who can take ownership of projects, manage multiple bids, and contribute to strategic estimating efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating process from initial review through final bid submission
• Perform and review detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Prepare, organize, and manage bid packages
• Solicit, level, and manage subcontractor and vendor bids
• Lead and manage RFIs during the bidding phase
• Develop bid strategies and analyze project costs to ensure competitiveness
• Support scheduling and preconstruction planning efforts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Review project financials, including cost tracking and P&L considerations
• Mentor and support junior estimators and team members
• Deliver accurate, thorough, and high-quality bid analyses

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
• 10–12+ years of construction estimating experience
• Experience leading estimates and managing the full bid process
• Experience with self-perform work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
• Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
