Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies or a related field such as Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or Computer Technology and four years of experience; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Studies or a related field and six years of experience; or eight years of experience using data-entry software tools in a Windows environment and industry-standard reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Microsoft Access, or Crystal Reports.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, including working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within the Continental United States and Outside the Continental United States as required.
Responsibilities
  • Support functional users of computer systems by accepting processing requirements and preparing them for execution.
  • Set up and maintain test projects, suggest improvements, and customize electronic data-entry forms for complex projects.
  • Use web-enabled data management systems such as ODIN and VDLS to track and monitor data flow.
  • Use application tools such as Cognos to query databases and produce professional reports based on user requirements.
  • Monitor daily data flow to identify errors or anomalies for corrective action.
  • Work with users and personnel from within the government organization and other agencies to formulate requirements that may result in system modifications.
  • Identify and resolve routine technical problems involving data collection software and databases.
  • Provide user training on software packages as required.
  • Operate in a Secret environment in accordance with required security procedures and regulations when required.
