Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/vehicle engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
  • 10 years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
  • Very good technical understanding and sound specialist knowledge of vehicle development and vehicle production
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle technology in the areas of body, electrical, chassis, drive systems, battery architecture, infotainment & connect
  • Very good vehicle assessment skills and a very good understanding of the vehicle as a whole
  • Sound knowledge of quality management
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Knowledge of VDA, IATF, ISO, TREAD, and other regulatory technical requirements
  • Ability to travel if required
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality based on warranty and production data collection
  • Ensure quality in all vehicle projects to create customer satisfaction
  • Manage quality market research activities and benchmarks to determine customer quality requirements
  • Oversee quality requirements, maturity management, and validation of vehicle functions and systems
  • Drive Quality improvements with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Operations
  • Execute Quality fast response process for technical Quality improvements
  • Oversee root cause analysis for high quality of production vehicles
  • Execute quality approvals of functions and systems
  • Define quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations teams
  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within Scout
  • Perform other duties as assigned
