Requirements
  • Current New York State Radiologic Technologist licensure is required.
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program licensed by the New York State Department of Education is required.
  • Strong knowledge of technical skills associated with licensure and the job function is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization are required.
  • The ability to work effectively with multiple managers and key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Bengali, Arabic, Creole, French, or Hindi is advantageous.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for and perform X-rays while complying with radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Retrieve X-ray over-read reports for provider review.
  • Use workstations on wheels to obtain patient vitals, physical statistics, and medical history for patient visits.
  • Execute laboratory and procedure orders, including completing forms, collecting and preparing specimens, and conducting point-of-care testing.
  • Retrieve laboratory and ancillary test results for provider review.
  • Document all clinical services accurately and completely in the electronic medical record, including uploading radiologic reports to patient charts as needed.
  • Organize and restock X-ray supplies according to company best practices.
  • Maintain radiology equipment in good working order.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the X-ray room.
  • Complete daily procedure checklists.
  • Complete required company training and comply with company policies.
  • Welcome and support new team members as needed.
  • Respond to and execute email communications in a timely manner.
  • Perform front-desk duties when front-desk staff are unavailable, including greeting patients, registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, answering calls, taking messages, and resolving patient questions and issues.
