About the company

Levy supplies construction materials and runs services for steel mills, turning industrial byproducts and mined stone into products used in roads, buildings and other infrastructure. Its operations link slag processing, which recovers useful materials from steelmaking waste, with aggregate mining and the manufacture of asphalt, concrete and cement alternatives. Customers buy its materials and hire its mill teams to process scrap, operate and maintain mobile equipment, and handle slag; jointly held businesses extend the group into ready-mix concrete and cement substitutes. The Levy Group of Companies began in 1918 and is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan.

What believers are saying

  • Levy spreads operations internationally: its location network extends across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
  • Employees have a formal safety voice: Levy requires management and workers to jointly establish and review safety targets.

What critics are saying

  • Field roles depend on steel producers: Levy's mill teams work under contracts with mini-mills and integrated mills.
  • Serious hazards shape field work: Levy's April 2026 safety statement prioritizes preventing severe injuries and fatalities.
  • Operating freedom has limits: Levy must meet environmental permits and applies stricter internal standards where necessary.

What makes Levy unique
