About the job
- A completed degree in a technical or natural-science field, such as plastics engineering, process engineering, polymer engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Practical experience in plastics processing, especially extrusion, compounding, mixing, or rheology, is desirable.
- Willingness to perform experimental laboratory work and investigate technical relationships in practice.
- Interest in turning customer requirements into concrete technical solutions and applications.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured and analytical manner, and to advance assigned topics.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with interdisciplinary and international teams.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for customer training, technical projects, or trade fairs.
- Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct laboratory trials involving extrusion, compounding, and mixing processes, and evaluate the results.
- Conduct customer and contract measurements in the application laboratory and develop solutions to complex practical questions.
- Develop new applications and methods and optimize existing processes for different materials and customer requirements.
- Contribute application expertise to development projects, define technical requirements, and conduct tests and product validations under realistic conditions.
- Take responsibility for technical projects and work packages, from defining objectives and planning through coordinating interfaces to timely implementation and documentation of results.
- Prepare trial results clearly and create application reports and technical materials for customers and sales.
- Deliver customer training and internal training, and conduct equipment demonstrations.
- Support international customers and sales teams with technical and application-related questions, from the initial inquiry through to a suitable solution.
- Work closely with product management, sales, research and development, service, and software development, bringing findings from laboratory and customer projects into the further development of solutions.
