Responsibilities
Work directly with all members of the investment team to support all functions of managing the University’s endowment.
Complete special projects relevant to financial markets.
Use Microsoft Office, eVestment, Bloomberg, and spreadsheets to assist in monitoring investment manager compliance and performance.
Maintain database software and spreadsheets to assist in monitoring investment manager compliance and performance, and generate reports as requested.
Create standard operating procedures for the investment department.
Assist the investment team in writing formal research on investment managers.
Prepare for and attend investment manager meetings as requested, and learn about institutional investment strategies through interviews and interactions with investment managers.
Monitor the current and prospective investment manager universe.
Desired Qualifications
Preference is given to individuals pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or Financial Planning.
Membership in the Student Finance Association is preferred.
Knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Previous internship experience is a plus.

Must be a current student at Kansas State University
Ability to commit at least twelve (12) hours per week during the school year
Students are eligible to work up to 40 hours/week during the summer
Preference given to individuals pursuing a degree in the following majors: Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, and Financial Planning
This role works directly with all members of the investment team, to support all functions of managing the University’s endowment. A day in the life of an Investment Assistant Student could be:
