Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Youth Programs Coordinator in developing and facilitating weekly workshops on career readiness, post-secondary enrollment, leadership development, and grassroots organizing.
  • Use popular education techniques to create a fun, dynamic, and culturally responsive learning environment that promotes teamwork and helps students develop leadership skills.
  • Provide mentorship supporting students’ academic and professional success.
  • Maintain communication with and follow directions from program staff to ensure students receive high-quality mentorship with a consistent tone and style.
  • Support We Are CASA’s mission and encourage students to participate actively in community events promoting civic engagement and social justice.
  • Conduct outreach calls, text messages, and emails primarily in Spanish and in English to potential ESOL students, providing a program overview and information about upcoming registrations.
  • Assist ESOL staff with student registration events.
  • Preserve the confidentiality of We Are CASA youth and member information.
  • Perform other duties as occasion and necessity require.
