  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural, aerospace engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • 10+ years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/fabrication of GSE & Tooling mechanical systems (i.e. fixtures, platforms, mechanisms, launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, etc).
  • Mechanical design experience using CAD (Creo/Windchill preferred), hand calculations and FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
  • Experience designing simple and efficient tools with quick turnaround.
  • Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded assemblies.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical and structural design solutions to support GSE & Tooling projects.
  • Create CAD models and drawings, and provide FEA and hand-calcs for complex mechanical systems.
  • Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle (including fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing & activation).
