Screenplay.dev provides a SaaS platform that integrates with GitHub to streamline code reviews for developers and teams. It helps organize the review process through features like a pull request inbox to keep notifications tidy and a Git GUI with stacking to minimize merge conflicts. It also offers a VS Code extension and productivity analytics to optimize developer workflow. The product works by connecting to GitHub repositories, surfacing pull requests in a centralized inbox, and offering tooling to navigate, merge, and review changes more efficiently, while measuring productivity to guide improvements. It differentiates itself from competitors with its focus on GitHub-centric workflow enhancements, merge-conflict reductions, and integrated developer productivity metrics across a broad base of organizations. The company's goal is to make code reviews faster and more predictable, helping teams ship changes sooner and with less friction, through a scalable subscription-based platform.

Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Graphite says it served 500+ companies and tens of thousands of weekly PRs.
  • March 2025's $52 million Series B funded expansion after 20x revenue growth.
  • April 2026 Code Tours and March 2026 Cursor Cloud Agents broaden product usage.

What critics are saying

  • GitHub Copilot Code Review and Cursor Bugbot compress Graphite's standalone pricing advantage.
  • Diamond remains GitHub-only, and VS Code exclusivity blocks JetBrains-heavy engineering teams.
  • If stacked PR adoption stalls, Graphite becomes a replaceable AI review feature, not a platform.

What makes Graphite unique

  • Graphite bundles stacked PRs, merge queues, and AI review into one workflow.
  • GitHub-native integration and VS Code support keep adoption low-friction for engineers.
  • Code Tours and Cursor Cloud Agents deepen the review loop beyond static comments.
