Integrated Biosciences

Integrated Biosciences

View

Integrated Biosciences develops therapies for age-related diseases using a platform that blends synthetic biology, AI-driven small-molecule drug discovery, optogenetics, chemistry, and computation. The platform helps scientists understand complex cellular stress biology and identify compounds that modulate stress responses linked to neurodegeneration, cancer, and diabetes. Drugs are discovered and developed through research and development efforts, with the goal of bringing new therapeutics to patients. Unlike traditional pharma approaches that rely on a single method, Integrated Biosciences combines biology engineering, machine learning, and precision chemistry to accelerate the discovery and optimization of drug candidates.

What believers are saying

  • The October 2024 seed round raised $17.2 million for pipeline acceleration.[1]
  • Sutter Hill Ventures and other investors validate the platform’s financing momentum.[1]
  • Its aging-medicine focus addresses neurodegeneration, cancer, diabetes, and broader degeneration.[1][3]

What critics are saying

  • Seed-stage funding leaves limited runway before a clinical asset emerges.[1]
  • Optogenetic screening can fail to translate from engineered cells to patients.[4]
  • Large competitors already have deeper data, broader pipelines, and clinical-stage credibility.

What makes Integrated Biosciences unique

  • Optogenetics, chemistry, and AI form its core small-molecule discovery platform.[1][3]
  • It targets age-related diseases by decoding complex cellular stress biology.[1][3]
  • Founded in 2022, it pairs synthetic biology with machine-learning therapeutics discovery.[1][3]
