Requirements

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in KYC or client onboarding functions is required.
  • A good understanding of constitutional documents and corporate structures is required.
  • Attention to detail and a process-oriented approach are required.
  • Research and investigative skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Time management, organizational, relationship-building, and keen investigative skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the end-to-end new client onboarding process managed for India.
  • Coordinate with clients and counterparts across multiple functions and units, including Front Office, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Operations, and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act teams, under business and client urgency.
  • Collect all relevant constitutional documents by liaising with external clients and internal teams.
  • Retrieve documents from KRA.
  • Deal directly with clients and explain which document is required under each regulation in India.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Know Your Customer requirements and conduct client due diligence on existing clients to identify changes in risk profile, including reputational and operational risk factors.
  • Perform verification checks using external data sources and screening tools to ensure submitted documents meet the defined Customer Identification Program and internal Anti-Money Laundering policies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in KYC or client onboarding functions within a financial institution, specifically the broking industry, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Securities and Exchange Board of India Anti-Money Laundering regulations is advantageous.
