Requirements
  • A high school diploma and 2 to 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Open new memberships and subsidiary accounts, including depository and account-ownership types such as trusts, retirement, fiduciary, and organizational accounts.
  • Assess member loan needs from beginning to end, including determining loan type, reviewing ancillary products, submitting applications, following up on consumer and auto loans, and potentially closing loans.
  • Cross-sell products and services within established guidelines.
  • Perform account maintenance activities, including closing accounts, establishing powers of attorney, transferring accounts, processing ownership changes, and renewing certificates.
  • Perform basic teller functions, including processing share and share-draft deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and draft stop payments.
  • Answer questions and resolve problems involving products and services.
  • Provide an additional point of contact for staff resolving escalated member situations and give on-the-spot feedback to improve member service efficiency.
  • Provide branch staff with leadership, knowledge, and support for member transactions and escalations.
  • Assist with training new and existing employees.
  • Prioritize and monitor workflow to meet service-level agreements and keep the supervisor informed of status.
  • Assist with preparing and following lunch and break schedules for optimal member service, adjusting schedules as work demands change.
  • Assist with branch controls, including cash orders and shipments, monthly branch audits and certifications, negotiable inventory maintenance, dispenser cash balancing and replenishment, new-account reviews, and error handling.
  • Participate in product and service promotions.
  • Meet all requirements to become a Notary Public.
  • Ensure operations comply with credit union policies and legal and regulatory requirements, including the credit union's Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering program.
  • Attend Sponsor Employee Group visits with Business Development or host a credit union table at a Sponsor Employee Group location.
  • Act as backup for other branch positions as needed.
  • Fill in at other branch locations or in other company roles as needed.
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements, and USA PATRIOT Act, including Member Identification Program requirements, new-account activity profiles, Currency Transaction Reports, Monetary Instrument Logs, and suspicious-activity reporting.
  • Work full-time hours and additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

Mirastar Federal Credit Union announced plans to open a new full-service branch in Hollister, California, in early 2027. The branch will be located in the Hollister Farms development at Highway 25 and Tres Pinos Road.
