Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and related tools and technology.
  • Working-level knowledge of the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
  • Expert knowledge of the Department of Energy's program management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of the Hanford Site Contractor Assurance System (iCAS).
  • Demonstrated expertise using Department of Energy integrated systems to develop ad hoc reports for analysis and decision-making.
  • Broad business experience applying analysis techniques, performing reviews, and developing process improvements.
  • Broad experience supporting organizational tracking, monitoring, assessment, review, and coordination efforts.
  • Ability to interface successfully with senior-level management.
  • Ability to work with government and contractor personnel to solve problems and formulate strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to identify conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with Hanford Site contractors.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Eligibility for a Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as an Employment Authorization, from the designated United States Government security office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for background investigative requirements up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Use specialized business operations experience to conduct tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and consistency between organizations.
  • Support time-sensitive information requests from Headquarters, the Government Accountability Office, the Inspector General, and other key agencies.
  • Support development of metrics and reports for senior management analysis and decision-making.
  • Provide system support and quality checks to ensure data integrity across RL and ORP tracking systems.
  • Communicate with contractor and federal personnel at local and Headquarters levels.
  • Advise the HCS management team on work progress, new issues, concerns, and other significant matters, and recommend resolutions.
  • Coordinate HCS objectives with senior management and multiple organizations and disciplines at ORP and RL to maintain interfaces required for safe and compliant Hanford operations.
  • Provide weekly or as-needed assessments and reports.
  • Follow up on issues, findings, and other areas of concern.
  • Maintain action-tracking systems or improve them as required.
  • Participate in meetings as determined by the HCOS office.
  • Administer annual KPG status and reporting systems.
  • Prepare weekly reports covering work accomplished and deliverable progress for the technical monitor.
  • Prepare monthly reports combining weekly status reports and submitting them with the monthly invoice.
  • Include deliverable progress and submission dates, when applicable, within the invoice-period report.
  • Document the work schedule of contractor employees, including leave taken.
  • Travel occasionally for meetings, events, site visits, or training when approved in advance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant government, public-sector, infrastructure, nuclear, or environmental-sector experience.
  • Experience in the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
