Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Current membership in good standing with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec is required.
  • Oncology experience is required.
  • Experience as an oncology pivot nurse or other relevant related experience enabling significant intervention with patients affected by cancer or chronic illnesses is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and clinical judgment abilities are required.
  • Autonomy, clinical leadership, and well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial health status in the emergency department.
  • Provide meaningful clinical support to people with cancer or chronic illnesses.
  • Act as a clinical resource, pivot nurse, or related resource for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the medical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in developing and applying care and service plans.
  • Complete clinical documentation and required follow-ups.
