Associate Director

The Associate Director, People Partner will support us to scale our people efforts as we work to get medicines to patients in need. This person will help us to adapt and mature the employee lifecycle by developing the best programs, processes, and practices for our people.

We are looking for a partner to play a significant and active role in supporting our emerging development organization who approaches and addresses organizational challenges with people-focused solutions. This person will champion our culture and values and understand how essential both are to achieving our goals. To be successful, this person will need to be a creative and influential thought leader who is able to balance the need to be a strategic partner while at the same time drive and own the day-to-day detail.

Your Role

• You work as a strategic partner across teams and functions to develop and implement integrated solutions that align with our programs, objectives, and core values.
• You help to establish and maintain the structures to support the culture and community that drive our programs forward and serve as a culture keeper yourself.
• You support, coach, and guide Development team leaders and managers on team dynamics, management, engagement, conflict, talent development, and organizational needs.
• You develop strong trust-based relationships across a range of stakeholders which enables you to keep a pulse on our community’s needs and provide timely support and guidance.
• You support broad scaling efforts for our Development function and the broader business by assessing future organizational needs and aligning these with our business goals and objectives.
• You communicate needs proactively with our People team and functional leaders to develop integrated and sustained solutions.

Your Background & Skillset

• You have experience working in a face-paced, rapidly-scaling biotech. This means you understand the industry, language, and players, as well as thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing situations which require you to deftly juggle and prioritize multiple competing priorities at once.
• You look at your work through a strategic, systematic, and future-oriented lens.
• You can take an ambiguous challenge, turn it into a tangible, impactful solution that meets the business and people needs, and effectively roll it out across a team or organization
• You can actively negotiate and influence others, demonstrating candor through the ability to effectively push back, while at the same time demonstrating humanity by identifying solutions that meet all party’s needs `
• You are a strong communicator who can change your approach and style to meet the needs of others and settings to drive forth a solution
