Requirements
  • Completion of high school education or a GED.
  • The ability to safely stand, twist, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and kneel consistently during work.
  • The ability to follow, understand, and strictly abide by Work Instructions.
  • The ability to work safely and productively while wearing required Occupational Safety and Health Administration personal protective equipment.
  • The ability to use handheld and power-driven tools correctly and safely.
  • The ability to meet visual and penetration welding standards established by supervision.
  • The ability to accurately read and comprehend blueprints.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and rotate among various machines, including presses.
  • The ability and dexterity to work in all welding department areas with varied part and product weights and sizes.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • The ability to learn and comply with JOST basic processes and JOST safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • The ability to read and write legibly according to company standards.
  • The ability to stand for 8–10 hours during a shift and perform associated walking, seeing, hearing, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, and hand-use activities.
  • The ability to repetitively lift or move objects weighing approximately 41–51 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Perform duties associated with robotic welding parts for production.
  • Weld parts according to schedule and Work Instruction specifications.
  • Verify first-piece inspections with Quality.
  • Hammer-stamp all products produced.
  • Count and label products correctly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping duties in the welding area as assigned.
  • Meet or exceed efficiency rates.
  • Meet welding quality standards.
  • Remove non-conforming material at the end of the shift.
  • Perform additional duties assigned or inherent to the position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous MIG welding experience.
