Requirements
  • An advanced degree and/or at least 5 years of experience within antibody discovery, lead engineering, or a related scientific profession is required.
  • Experience working in a sales, business development, licensing, or commercial business role in biotherapeutic or biopharmaceutical industry organizations.
  • A demonstrated, extensive, and successful track record of sales and partnering within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in protein and/or antibody engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within antibody discovery and antibody engineering.
  • Working knowledge of antibody drug discovery workflows and biotherapeutic development processes from hit discovery through lead optimization to the preclinical stage.
  • Experience working in a corporate, global, or regional sales and marketing role involving antibody discovery and development products or services.
  • Following regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Establish Twist’s market position for the biopharmaceutical discovery services group.
  • Develop strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and partnerships, negotiate and close business deals, and maintain extensive knowledge of market conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams, project management, synthetic biology sales teams, marketing, legal, and other key account managers to increase market share and maximize revenue.
  • Lead activities to identify and facilitate opportunities to create and grow business partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, related companies, and academic organizations in implementing Twist’s library technologies.
  • Manage and maintain commercial alliances with key internal Twist biopharma resources and management and external pharmaceutical and biotechnology partner stakeholders during development, early commercialization, and launch.
  • Prospect and generate leads of potential customers, collaborators, and partners that can generate revenue from library sales and commercialization of antibody development solutions.
  • Generate, drive, and secure continuous deal flow for antibody development solution contracts with collaborators and partners, emphasizing agreements covering antibody development services provided by Twist Pharma.
  • Support and screen incoming partnership and licensing opportunities relating to libraries and value-added antibody development solutions.
  • Solicit and pitch Twist capabilities, competencies, and offerings to strategically important potential collaborators and partners, with support from Twist Pharma scientific resources.
  • Lead negotiations to close antibody discovery solution contracts and establish collaborations and partnerships; conduct due diligence and drive deal processes through execution of contracts and related business agreements.
  • Maintain and grow current and newly established customer relationships, collaborations, and partnerships in an alliance-management role.
  • Lead the development of financial models, contracts, and agreements supporting the business case for new customers, collaborators, and partners.
  • Collect and analyze market and financial data to establish and present compelling business cases for collaborations and partnerships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, collaborators, and partnerships with noncompetitive pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and related industry organizations and companies.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap of potential customers, collaborators, and partnerships to maintain a healthy, growing, and diversified revenue pipeline.
  • Engage internal and external resources, including Legal, Intellectual Property, Finance, Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales and Marketing, to develop and maintain customer-related collaborations and partnerships for libraries and antibody development solutions.
  • Oversee the creation of customized sales tools and marketing collateral, including proposals, requests for proposal responses, and technical presentations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A PhD or Master’s degree in a related scientific discipline is desired.
  • Experience working in a global environment is preferred.

Twist Bioscience raises guidance to $457M as AI drug discovery drives 23% revenue growth

Twist Bioscience reported fiscal Q3 revenue of $118.4 million, up 23% year over year, marking its 14th consecutive quarter of growth.
