About the company

TFI provides child welfare services through a network of affiliates across the United States, including foster and kinship care, adoption, counseling, prevention services, training (TIPS-MAPP), and visitation centers. These services are delivered locally by regional agencies under the Family Initiative umbrella, with staff who recruit, train, and support foster families and provide counseling and educational resources, plus technology tools through its nonprofit tech affiliates. What sets TFI apart is its bundled, nationwide platform that combines a wide range of child-welfare services with regional delivery and technology support, rather than operating as a single-region group. Its goal is to help children grow in safe, stable environments by offering compassionate, quality, and accessible services and resources.

TFI hosts annual golf tournament to raise money for foster children and families. Posted: Oct 14, 2026 / 05:29 PM CDT Updated: Oct 14, 2026 / 05:29 PM CDT MAYETTA (KSNT) - Golfers, staff with local businesses and community supporters gathered on the greens Wednesday to raise money for a local non-profit that helps foster children and families. TFI Family Services hosted its annual Tee Off Fore Kids tournament at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta at the Firekeeper Golf Courses on Oct. 14. The annual event benefits the TFI Kids Fund, which helps foster families cover the cost of extracurricular activities, clothing, sports equipment and other essential needs. Organizers said community support helps provide children with experiences they might not otherwise have, especially as the holiday season approaches. "We want foster children to have the same experiences that all children have," said Angel Romero, vice president of Fund Development at TFI. "And so, we know, especially at the holidays, you know, that time of year can be a year for our foster youth who've maybe been used to instability or who have had kind of a chaotic year. This is the time of year we want to really make sure they're getting taken care of. So, events like this today kick off our ability to support those children and families. And we're looking forward to doing that for the rest of the year." Despite the gloomy weather, the golfers and organizers were able to continue with the event as planned.
