About the Job

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.
Experience in or ability to learn general building maintenance is required.

Responsibilities

Keep the building clean.
Provide routine cleaning, sanitation, and general upkeep.
Clean and dust furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers, pick up recycled paper, replace light bulbs, and refill restroom dispensers.
Perform cleaning and related activities, including removing snow and debris from sidewalks.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and inform the Office Manager when supplies need attention.
Prepare meeting rooms and set them up for programs as directed.
Clean glass doors and windows.
Clean the gym floor as needed.
Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies and use them as directed.
Follow building sanitation procedures.
Clean bathrooms daily.
Vacuum the chapel weekly or as needed and dust its furnishings weekly.
Clean the kitchen as needed and as instructed.
Move furniture, equipment, and tools as needed; open all locked offices to be cleaned and shut off coffee pots.
Perform other related duties within the scope of the position.
