- Experience developing robust, highly available, high-performance distributed systems.
- Excellent practical object-oriented software design skills.
- Strong expertise with Core Java, design patterns, and advanced data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing complex data-driven server-side software in Java.
- Strong experience developing with the Spring MVC framework, Spring Core, and Spring Boot, with knowledge of Spring Security.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS services and deployments.
- Significant experience developing effective application programming interfaces and RESTful services for internal and external consumption.
- Proficiency in SQL and complex relational database design.
- Practical experience and a deep understanding of server-side and middle-tier technologies, including middle-tier frameworks, caching strategies or solutions, and messaging or queuing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document web applications.
- Take ownership of functionalities as appropriate.
- Integrate and write REST services for backend and user-interface integration.
- Lead technical delivery with onsite and offshore team members, including management and mentoring.
- Experience with NoSQL solutions, including MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX.
