Position Description
At United Schools, the Building Substitute Teacher plays an important role in ensuring continuity of instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment when classroom teachers are absent. Building Substitute Teachers are assigned to a United campus and typically provide short-term classroom coverage across different grade levels and subject areas based on daily staffing needs. Depending on the needs of the school, they may also be assigned to provide coverage for an extended period.
Building Substitute Teachers are responsible for implementing lesson plans provided by classroom teachers, maintaining established classroom routines and expectations, supporting student learning, and ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment. When substitute coverage is not needed, Building Substitute Teachers may provide instructional support to classroom teachers, work with individual students or small groups, assist with student supervision, or support school operations as directed by school leadership.

Qualifications:

Terms of Employment
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
This is a full-time position with daily assignments determined by the needs of the school.
Report times are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., although some job-related tasks can be expected outside of these hours.
Daily Rate: $150 per day.
