What You Will Do

As a Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering Methods Engineering Intern you will......

• Learn and understand the needs of the engineering organization and translate those needs into clear software requirements which will drive the design, development, and testing of high-quality web applications for the engineering organization
• Interface and collaborate with our stakeholders/customers to understand requirements, manage our software products, and communicate progress
• Create strategies for developing scalable and maintainable applications
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Drive improvements in our software engineering processes and practice

What You Will Learn

• Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business.
• Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.  
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Large Language Models (LLM), Cloud experience (AWS, Amazon Web Services), or database design.
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience building web applications
• Experience with JS Frameworks such as React and Vue
• SQL experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
