Requirements
  • A Master of Social Work (MSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential under the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Work.
  • Current Massachusetts Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) licensure.
  • At least one year of professional experience.
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff and students.
  • Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, establish appropriate professional boundaries, and adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct social work services across inpatient hospital settings.
  • Conduct individual psychotherapy, supportive counseling, and conflict-resolution family interventions.
  • Document all clinical services in the Electronic Medical Record in compliance with facility policies.
  • Serve as a clinical consultant to the interdisciplinary team regarding complex social work issues.
  • Apply specialized geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge to improve patient care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional care teams in rehabilitation, family, and treating-team conferences for inpatients.
  • Maintain professional credentials and clinical skills through continuing education and training relevant to the patient population.
