Job Description Summary

The Registered Nurse II for the CHS Revisions (IOP) manages comprehensive nursing care for patients within the Revisions program. Makes age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs. Organizes and prioritizes nursing care activities considering the needs of the patients and other staff members. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, environment, and professional development. Conducts intake assessments for incoming Revisions Patients. Assists Coordinator with patient referral process, as needed. Participates in performance improvement/research activities designed to improve patient care and/or organizational process.

Job Description

RN II Minimum Training and Education:   Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details. A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.

RN II Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
