Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years of mammography experience is required.
- Knowledge of all aspects of mammography is required.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent command of verbal and written English is required.
- Strong ability to prioritize and solve problems as issues arise is required.
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications are required.
- A Massachusetts Radiation Control License in Radiologic Technology and Mammography is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all age levels served within the scope of the position and assigned areas is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to workplace health and safety, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required.
- Ability to use hands to control objects, tools, or controls; stand or sit for long periods; repeat movements; remain on one's feet for long periods; bend or twist; see nearby objects; hold the arm and hand steady while moving the arm; make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls; grasp, move, or assemble objects; coordinate multiple limbs while remaining in place; speak clearly; understand another person's speech; and use stomach and lower-back muscles to support the body for long periods without fatigue is required.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Lead Mammography Technologist, perform mammography procedures according to the guidelines and regulations of the American College of Radiology and federal and state regulatory agencies.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with three-dimensional breast tomosynthesis mammography equipment.
- Experience with Cerner and PACS; previous Cerner experience is a plus.
