Responsibilities
  • Consult control owners and leaders about the risk profile of portfolios of processes and applications.
  • Serve as a trusted risk advisor to aligned Technology leaders.
  • Identify and address risks before they impact objectives.
  • Oversee and enable the aligned Technology team’s compliance with existing and new requirements.
  • Evaluate and consult on risks associated with strategic priorities or major programs and projects.
  • Provide actionable information to help prioritize risk-mitigation actions across portfolios of platforms and applications.
  • Design and enhance effective control environments for technology products and services.
  • Simplify the existing control environment through process and control re-engineering and automation.
  • Respond to unexpected events and findings.
  • Influence risk-based outcomes for technology inventory, software governance, and configuration management programs.
  • Provide guidance to ensure complete, accurate, and authoritative inventories of technology assets, software, and configuration items.
  • Provide guidance on sustainable compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate to drive strategic outcomes for the overall team.
  • Consult on strategic initiatives defined by the product area owner and ensure risks are appropriately documented, reported, and escalated.
  • Provide advisory and implementation support in developing management responses to associated risks.
  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate compliance with existing policies, standards, and procedures; accurately identify risks; and drive remediation processes to address compliance and security gaps.
  • Use data analysis to help aligned Program Leaders develop proactive and anticipatory approaches to risk management.
  • Support aligned Technology or Business Line teams in demonstrating evidence of control effectiveness and identify and escalate control gaps in a timely manner.
  • Deliver targeted and actionable risk reporting across various leadership levels.
  • Serve as a functional liaison between the Business Line and second and third lines of defense.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Operations, Asset Management, Configuration Management, Information Security, or Audit.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends affecting the assigned line of business.
  • Advanced understanding of the business line’s operations, products and services, systems, and associated risks and controls.
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies, including experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, and assessments involving inventory management and technology governance controls.
  • Strong management skills in processes, projects, and people.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicable professional certifications such as CRISC, ITIL, CISSP, or CGEIT.
  • Experience evaluating IT Asset Management programs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, IT Asset Management, and SAM Pro.
  • Experience evaluating software inventory completeness and technology ownership frameworks.
  • Experience assessing controls supporting configuration management and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of open-source software governance and software supply chain risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with software licensing, entitlement management, and software rationalization practices.
  • Experience with technology lifecycle management and asset retirement processes.
  • Knowledge of authoritative technology inventories and technology ownership models.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management practices spanning acquisition, deployment, operation, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL Asset and Configuration Management practices.
  • Understanding of hardware asset management and software asset management processes.
  • Knowledge of CMDB design concepts, Configuration Item taxonomy, Common Service Data Model, asset relationships, reconciliation processes, and discovery capabilities.
  • Knowledge of software supply chain risks and dependency management.

U.S. Bancorp posts record $7.7B revenue, raises 2026 outlook to 7-9% growth on BTIG strength

U.S. Bancorp reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with earnings per share of $1.35, up approximately 22% year-over-year, and record net revenue of $7.7 billion. Return on tangible common equity reached 18.7%, whilst the efficiency ratio improved to 57.1%. Fee income rose 13.2% year-over-year, driven by the recently completed BTIG acquisition. BTIG generated approximately $98 million in revenue during its first month, the strongest monthly performance in its history. The company expects BTIG to contribute roughly $200 million per quarter in the second half of 2026. Average loans totalled $405 billion, up 7.1% year-over-year. Net interest income increased 7.5% to $4.4 billion. The bank raised its 2026 revenue outlook to 7% to 9% growth, up from the previous 4% to 6% range.

Globe Life secures $1B credit agreement with Wells Fargo, extends maturity to 2029

Globe Life Inc. has entered into a $1 billion Third Amended and Restated Credit Agreement with Wells Fargo and major banks, extending the maturity date from August 2027 to June 2029. Wells Fargo serves as Administrative Agent, whilst Bank of America, Regions Bank and Truist Bank act as Co-Syndication Agents. The syndicated facility supports revolving loans, letters of credit and swing line loans. Interest rates range from 0.805% to 1.35% for term SOFR loans, tiered according to Globe Life's debt ratings from S&P and Moody's. The agreement includes financial covenants covering reporting requirements, restrictions on subsidiary indebtedness and compliance with anti-corruption laws. Eligible collateral comprises cash, money market funds, corporate debt securities and US government debt securities, subject to daily mark-to-market requirements.
